NOAC stands for National Older Adult Conference.  This Brethren-sponsored gathering is held every other year at Lake Junaluska in the the beautiful mountains of North Carolina.   This year, as usual, was a special treat and inspiration for all who attended.  The theme of the conference for 2019 was "Reaching into Joy."  Each morning began with devotions at the base of the outdoor cross, followed by Bible Study with Paula Bowser.  After Bible Study was a keynote address, each day presented by a different speaker.  Afternoons were devoted to recreational activities and the choice of many different interest sessions.  In the evening was a worship service where a different person delivered the message each day.  During that service, a choir sang an anthem, and there were selections played by an organist and pianist plus several instrumentalists.  Those attending enjoyed singing many hymns together,                often in four-part harmony

Also available to attendees at NOAC were side trips such as to the Vanderbilts' Biltmore estates and boat rides around the lake.  Several groups came to the conferences on buses from their districts.  Those buses were then used to take participants to off-site venues.
