To celebrate being able to be together in person at our church, in our sanctuary we held a Talent Show featuring members of our church family on Saturday, June 26. Pat Ecker acted as emcee to introduce the fourteen acts. Performances included singing, piano music, reading poetry, slide shows of art and outreach for the church, plus pieces by our bell choir. In addition to these acts, there was a display in the library by six visual artists. This part of the Talent Show had paintings, quilting work, refinished furniture, 3-D wooden puzzles, and a photo book detailing the progress of retiring a 1958 Corvette. It was an entertaining evening!
Between 40 and 50 people attended this show. Among the favorites with the audience were "Climb Every Mountain," sung by Ronald Douglass, "You Raise Me Up," sung by Julie Richard, and the bell choir's crazy rendition of "Those Magic Changes."
