Loving God, With each breath that I take, I welcome this life you have given me. Even though my life is a gift from you, it is my choice about how I will live it. I know that I do not always make wise decisions that will please you and bless others. For this, I ask for your forgiveness. But time passes  by so quickly and I have many things I want and need to do that too often it seems as though I am running on autopilot. You and I know that when this happens, I lose touch with my inner spirit that usually helps direct me towards leaning on you and towards caring for others. Time…when it becomes more than just a clock ticking to let me know what I do or do not get finished in a day…can seem to stand still and lead me to realize that I live within the presence of your holiness moment after moment. If only I could make that connection between time and your holiness throughout my day, I am sure it would make a difference in how I live from day to day…every day. So, here I am in your holy presence, asking for your peace to prevail over the anxiety I feel when I see or hear the seconds ticking away…telling me to stay on schedule. May the motivation for what I do and say each day come from the awareness that I am living in the presence of your holiness and not from the pressure of time. I want my life to be lived for your honor and glory. Amen.

EVERYONE is invited! It’s the “Souper Bowl” fundraiser, on Sunday, February 5th. A buffet meal of a variety of delicious homemade soups, breads and desserts will be served from 11:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. The cost is $5.00 per a person or $10.00 per a family. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time at the church, or by calling the church office (410-848-8090). There also will be a silent auction of goods, crafts and services held from 9:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Bring your friends. And don’t worry about missing the big game that day, the Superbowl. You will be home in plenty of time to catch the whole game. Come enjoy the fun and good company while you dine on delicious food.

Hello Ladies! Hey, do you have April 21st and 22nd reserved on your calendar for the Women’s Retreat at Camp Eder? You won’t want to miss it. The theme will be, “I Am Woman!” We will take a look at the lives of some women from the bible; and historical to present day woman who have made a difference in the lives of others globally, locally and personally. Who are your women heroes? What can we learn from these women? What are the issues we face? How are we making a difference in the lives of others? Registration will begin in February. Your cost for the retreat is $50.00.

The Sr. High Youth (grades 8-12) will have an afternoon of fun on Sunday, February 12, from 12:00-3:30.  We will eat pizza, watch a movie and if time allows, play some games. Bring $5.00 to help pay for the pizza and soda. Don’t forget to bring friends!
