EVERYONE is invited! It’s the “Souper Bowl” fundraiser, on Sunday, February 5th. A buffet meal of a variety of delicious homemade soups, breads and desserts will be served from 11:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. The cost is $5.00 per a person or $10.00 per a family. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time at the church, or by calling the church office (410-848-8090). There also will be a silent auction of goods, crafts and services held from 9:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Bring your friends. And don’t worry about missing the big game that day, the Superbowl. You will be home in plenty of time to catch the whole game. Come enjoy the fun and good company while you dine on delicious food.

Hello Ladies! Hey, do you have April 21st and 22nd reserved on your calendar for the Women’s Retreat at Camp Eder? You won’t want to miss it. The theme will be, “I Am Woman!” We will take a look at the lives of some women from the bible; and historical to present day woman who have made a difference in the lives of others globally, locally and personally. Who are your women heroes? What can we learn from these women? What are the issues we face? How are we making a difference in the lives of others? Registration will begin in February. Your cost for the retreat is $50.00.

The Sr. High Youth (grades 8-12) will have an afternoon of fun on Sunday, February 12, from 12:00-3:30.  We will eat pizza, watch a movie and if time allows, play some games. Bring $5.00 to help pay for the pizza and soda. Don’t forget to bring friends!

God of Mystery, I know that everyday and everywhere, you are with me; but, not only me…everyone. How do you do it, God? I know you created the heavens, the waters, the whole earth and all that dwells on earth. The details, colors, sounds, smells and sizes of all that your hands made explode with your creativity. How do you do it, God? Don’t you get tired? I know all about your grace that flows over me even when I have been indifferent towards you and what you want. Why…why do you do that? I get so very angry when people do that to me. Isn’t it difficult to forgive me sometimes? I know that you answer my prayers for myself and for others…maybe not the way I want you to answer them; but you know what is best for me and those I lift to you in prayer. How do you know what is best for me and others? I know many things about you, God; but it’s my faith and trust in you that takes me beyond knowing about you and towards actually knowing you. Thank you God, for tearing the veil so that I can sit with you a while and know you personally. May the blessing of knowing you inspire and guide my words and actions throughout all my days. Amen.
